The main idea of the text is that there is a growing polarization between women and men in France, particularly among young people. This polarization is manifesting as: * Increased feminism among women: French women are increasingly identifying as feminist and are more aware of the daily sexism they face. * Rise of "masculinist" views among men: Young men, in particular, are more receptive to "masculinist" rhetoric. * Recognition of men's role in combating sexism: Despite the rise of "masculinist" views, a majority of French people believe that men have a responsibility to fight against sexism and violence against women. The text highlights this trend through the findings of the Haut Conseil à l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes (HCE) annual baromètre on sexism in France. It analyzes the widening gap in societal perceptions and attitudes between genders, with a particular focus on the younger generation.
